HR Payroll is almost ready for 6.0 !

We have great news that Payroll module is under cleaning process to make it ready for OpenERP 6.0. The first working version of payroll module was developed and implemented at Tiny ERP Private Limited in October 2009.

The first working version you can still have from trunk-extra-addons branch. The new version for payroll and payroll accounting modules available under the trunk-addons.

There are only few changes in object design, during migrating for OpenERP 6.0 version. Dynamic calculations are simple and easy to configure.

The major change in payroll is hr_payroll module is divided in 2 modules  modules hr_payroll and hr_payroll_account, It will allow more flexibility. The previous version of payroll module was tightly coupled with the account module. There were direct accounting entries from payroll module to account module. but now it is possible to use the payroll module without direct affecting the account module.

Payroll + Accounting Process : here is a simple flow of the payroll integrated with the accounting system

hr_payroll

• manage rules and regulation related to payroll
• monthly processes like payslip, bank advice, payment register
• integrated with holiday module

hr_payroll_account

• does the accounting entries based on the payslips
• maintain the payable and receivable entries
